A little of what’s to do and see.

Step foot outside the front door and for the casual walker, Brockdish is criss-crossed by footpaths. For the more ambitious, the village offers a point of access to the Angles Way, which pretty much follows the river out to the east coast. Cyclists will delight in the many cycle paths and quiet lanes that abound.

Passing through the neighbouring village of Needham, in around 2 miles, you arrive at the pretty market town of Harleston, complete with supermarket and an array of independent shopping and dining opportunities.

Coarse fishing and canoeing are popular Waveney Valley pastimes, with canoe hire available locally in season. Indoor swimming and golf courses are to be found close by.

The historic towns of Diss, Bungay and Beccles are all within a 30 minute scenic drive from Brockdish. The fashionable seaside charms of chic Southwold, Walberswick and Dunwich, along with the cultured city of Norwich, are all comfortably within an hour’s reach.

Head west for a day out in Bury St Edmunds and engage in some retail therapy among its elegant mix of Georgian and Medieval streets complete with atmospheric abbey ruins.

Bressingham Steam Museum, Banham Zoo and the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum, to name but a few, are delightful local attractions.
